End of Term Celebration

We had a fun day of celebrating all of our hard work throughout the first half of the year. Our party had a winter theme. We started the day by creating winter art (these will be posted to the blog at a later date). Next we made ice cream in the classroom by freezing the ingredients using salt and ice cubes we got to eat our delicious treat outside in the sunshine. For lunch we had a picnic while watching a short movie and in the afternoon we played pass the parcel and pin the tail on the donkey! We finished off our day of celebrations with a dance! This fun day was made even more special as we got to share it with our favourite soft toys! After school we put on our dancing shoes for the school disco and boogied the night away with the rest of the school! What a busy day!!

Animal Posters

At reading time we are reading non-fiction books about different animals. Each group studied a different animal. We have learned about Komodo Dragons, Kangaroos, Lions and Tigers, NZ Sea Lions and Bats.

After reading our books we had to make a poster about the animal we read about. We learned lots of new facts from our books.

Room 3's Mid Year Celebrations

Hi Everyone! 

We are having a mid year celebration in Room 3 on Thursday to celebrate the children's hard work and achievements over the first half of the year. The celebration will have a winter theme!

We will be making ice cream together just before lunch so we can enjoy this special treat with our lunch. We are having an indoor picnic together for lunch. You don't need to bring along anything to share - just your own lunchbox as normal.

You may bring along a special friend (soft toy) to join in on our celebration on Thursday if you wish.

There will be plenty of fun activities happening throughout the day! I can't wait!

Creative Talent Quest
